I was skeptical so I did a little research. I think a lot of their recommendations don't really make sense for long term health, so I didn't choose to buy the book. My friend who got it really loves it and she has lost a LOT of weight since she got it BUT her face has AGED in the 8 months or so she's been on the diet.

She is in her mid 30s and I used to think she was incredibly pretty - a little plump, but with a glowing complexion and sweet features. Now she has a very slender figure but her face looks about 10 years older. Her skin is dry and she has more wrinkles. Her hair is like straw. This tells me that this diet has stressed her body. I feel so sad remembering how pretty she was before.

MY personal opinion - God created all of us unique and maybe not all of us is designed to be super skinny. I want to be healthy and strong and treat my body like a temple, but I also want to accept and love the body God designed. I've been praying about this, and my focus has changed from losing weight to becoming healthy, strong, energetic, etc.

I also don't like the use of things like stevia, gluccomann, etc., that they use in the book. Why would you eat something that has no nutritional value? Also the book tells people to give up many foods that I think are healthy -milk, potatoes, honey, etc. Honey is a Biblical food and so is milk.

What I focus on - eating pure, organic foods. We buy our raw milk, eggs and most of our meat from a local organic farm family. These people are strong Christians. They treat the animals humanely and they are pastured. We cook most of our own food and buy very little processed food.

What I have been doing - focusing on portion sizes and exercising every day. I am losing weight SLOWLY but that is probably healthier in the long run. Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07859510183313621458noreply@blogger.com
