Curry recipe

This is a really tasty curry recipe, which I made with a bit of experimentation. With some tweaking you can make it stronger,or weaker.
serves around 8, or more depending on adults, or children.
Ingredients:
1 can of coconut milk.
1 small carton of passata.
3 cloves of garlic.
1 large onion.
1 sweet pepper, chopped.
1/2 teaspoon of garam masala.
1 teaspoon curry powder.
3 teaspoons of curry paste. ( I used patak's mild)
600g beef strips, or chicken.

Method:
Brown the meat in a little oil, and when browned add the curry paste, spices and garlic.
Add onion, and pepper. Stir and cook till all nice and sealed.
Now add the coconut milk, and pasatta. Bring to the boil, and you can add some frozen peas at this point.
Cover, and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Enjoy!! I served with basmati wholegrain rice.

  1. Sounds good-need to try this. Have you tried substituting tinned tomatoes for the passata and did it make a difference?

  2. I use passata, as I don't like tinned. I have heard the tomatoes leach toxins off the tins, too.
